The study will consider the running of a natural gas pipeline from Mataranka to the Sherwin mining lease firstly, and to the Western Desert Resources Roper Bar lease secondly, and then, lastly, to the proposed filtration plant on Maria Island. There will be branch lines from the Serwin and Western Desert respectively, to deliver improved power supply to the local communities of Minyerri and Ngukurr.
